My Introduction

Hello fellow diaperers!

I am new to the Cotton Babies Blog and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself before diving in and becoming a regular here. I am another Jen, but Jenni to be more specific. I am the wife of my favorite person on the planet and a stay at home mom to seven children aged 4 months to (almost) 18.

I am the proud owner of a lovely purple Maya Wrap that was one of Cotton Babies first orders. Truly, it is still my favorite sling, and that is saying something because I have at least seven other slings and a couple other carriers as well.

I have cloth diapered at least part of the time with all of my children. I even did it back when it wasn't cool to do and prefolds with plastic pants and pins were the only option. I have to confess that, while environmental reasons and saving money are benefits to cloth diapering, my primary reason for doing it has always been because I just plain like it better. There is something so wholesome about taking a load of diapers out of the dryer that opening a new package of disposables can never match.

I have my moments when I dislike it and abandon it for a while, but those lovely little butt covers call me back every time. I have two in diapers right now: my 3 year old son Max, who is currently in disposables because of digestive troubles, I hope to move him back to cloth once I get a diaper sprayer, and my 4 month old daughter Lily, who is in cloth probably 75% of the time right now.

My current favorites are Kissaluvs or Chinese Prefolds with wool covers for my little Lily of the Sensitive Bum. But my favorites sometimes change depending on our needs.

That is enough about me and my babies' butts for now, Happy Diapering!

-Jenni
